Details: 11 bikes. About 90 miles one way.
Crisp blue skies with temps in the 50s. Nice ride on some familiar and not so familiar roads via Starke, Lake Butler and Booker. Lots of chili to sample at the dealership. Kaylee Hubbard made her first group ride under the watchful and proud eye of Papa Butch.

Details: “9 bikes and 11 riders left Love 2 Ride at 9:30 AM. The ride was fantastic. A couple of new club members had not made the ride through the “Loop” and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everybody loved the Philly’s and declared Famous Philly’s as the best in the universe!”

Details: 6 bikes, 50 mile ride.
Unlike most rides, this one started at 4 p.m. and left from the Bay Meadows store. Nice loop and everyone ended the ride with good pizza and short ride home after dinner.

Details: 8 bikes, 78 miles one way. One stop.
Blue skies but a little cool (50°) at KSU 9:30. Nice ride, especially the last 15 miles on County Road 234. Beautiful oak canopy. Everyone spent an hour walking through the antique/junk shops and visiting the locations where Doc Hollywood was filmed.

Details: Not a much better way to start the day than to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic and then climb on a Harley-Davidson for a ride along the ocean. Annual sunrise ride again did not disappoint. 7 bikes, 0 passengers. A few clouds on the horizon dimmed the sunrise a little, but still nice. Breakfast at Village Inn in St. Augustine is always good.

Details: 10 bikes, 1 passenger. We started at McDonalds in Oak Leaf Plantation/Argyle Forest and took the long way to Fernandina Beach–about 93 miles. A nice ride on northeast Florida backroads. Low 90s by the end of the ride, upper 90s during return to Orange Park. Nice view of the ocean at Sliders (except Ruth who could only see a wall).

Details: 8 members of OPHOG rode with JaxHog riders to deliver the “Nation of Patriots” United States Flag to the Tallahassee HOG chapter. The flag, which began its HOG-escorted journey in Miliwaukee in May, will travel to the lower 48 states before returning to Milwaukee and a permanent home in the Harley Davidson Museum.

Destination: The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville
Details: 12 bikes, 4 passengers, several cars. Short ride from Wachovia parking lot Orange Park to Baseball grounds. All you can eat burgers and dogs for 1 hour. (Quanity over quality.) HOT! but everyone found a seat in the shade. Suns lost to Mobile Bay Bears in extra innings.

Details: 17 bikes, 3 passengers. 117 miles. Another great day for a ride. This one started about noon, which seemed to work well for a lot of riders. Indirect route went through Folkston and then (kudos to Ruth and Steve Lee) a Georgia backroad with some nice curves to US 17 and then to Brunswick.

Details: 11 bikes, 3 passengers (3 guests). 106 miles. Beautiful day (72° – 82°.) 8:30 start under blue skies. Some 4 lane, some 2 lane, some State Park, some ocean view: A little something for everyone. As usual, a great Sunday Brunch at Aunt Catfish’s in Port Orange (south of Daytona Beach). No one went away hungry and unofficiially this was 28 thumbs up brunch.

Fleetwood Diner (formerly Floyds Diner) is a traditional diner, but the weather demanded that we sit outside under the awning. Most riders opted for breakfast fare, with Hippie Hash being a a popular side item.

Details: 6 bikes, 2 passengers. Best weather in weeks, even with 20-30 mph winds. Blue skies and mid-60s most of the day. About 105 miles one way. Three hour ride. A little four lane, a little two lane, a little forest and a little oceanside. Something for everyone. Went to the Lighthouse Landing for lunch but group decided to browse Daytona for motorcycle parts and accessories instead of climbing 208 stairs in the lighthouse.

Jousting, damsels, knights and assorted jesters and court musicians and revelers. Oh, and special parking at the front gate for motorcyles. A good time.

Details: 15 bikes, 3 passengers. Finally, some decent weather. Upper 60s/low 70s, a little windy, but after two weeks in a deep freeze this was a welcome relief. Good turnout on short notice. Some new bikes and some new riders. Short ride of about 50 miles, but the group rode well together and we managed to make most of the traffic lights without getting split up. Ate outside on Georgie’s patio.
